Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 11/10/2025
This week will be a busy one for the Odem Bands, with a HS Band performance at the Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Tuesday morning, a Monthly Booster Meeting on Tuesday at 6 pm, Orlando Trip Meeting at 7 pm Tuesday as well, Playoff Game in Freer vs. Cotulla on Friday, and then All-Region JH Auditions on Saturday at Tuloso-Midway HS! For Veterans’ Day, all of our high school band students need to be in uniform by 7:45 am to get to the stadium and prepare for our performance. The ceremony begins at 8:30 am for anyone who wishes to attend!
That evening at our Booster Meeting, we’ll be discussing the close of the season, as well as holding a mandatory trip meeting for the Orlando trip. This must be attended by the student and a parent/guardian with them. If a student/parent can’t attend, please contact me about a makeup meeting after Tuesday and before Thanksgiving Break! We’ll be discussing the final pricing we’ve received, updates to the itinerary, deadlines, and some extra information that we know will be helpful in preparation for the trip!
On Friday, the district is releasing students at 2:30 pm in order to facilitate travel to the game of Odem vs. Cotulla in Freer. HS Band members are required to be at the HS Band Hall by 3:30 pm, and we will depart shortly thereafter. We do plan to feed the students dinner.
On Saturday, all members of the Odem JH Symphonic Winds are required to be at the OJH Band Hall by 7:30 am to depart for the All-Region Auditions. Region Auditions are a mandatory part of membership in the ensemble, and all students must attend. We should conclude the auditions and be home before 3 pm. We need a parent or two to travel to TM and help out with students – please let Mr. Williams know if you might be available to help!
The following week is our final week leading toward Thanksgiving Break. Please keep plans open for HS students to attend playoffs as long as the Owls’ season continues! The Spirit of OHS will support them through all of their playoff games!
2026 Florida Trip

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know! We have scheduled a meeting this Tuesday at 7 pm for updates on the trip that we’ll need the students and a parent to attend!
