This week will be a four-day week for students. Mr. Rash and Mr. Williams are out Wednesday through Friday, attending the All-State Band/TMEA Conventions in San Antonio with our All-State Trumpet player, Benjamin Castaneda. This week we have a normal full week of school, and our last week without events for a while. We encourage students to check with their teachers on their grades this week, as the end of the six weeks is approaching! We have begun color guard practices and will hold tryouts on March 2nd. We begin this week by congratulating senior trumpet player Benjamin Castañeda on earning a spot in the All-State Band on Saturday! This is the first time in school history we’ve had a trumpet player make the All-State Band! Ben will travel to San Antonio from February 11-14th for the All-State Clinic/Concert that is part of the Texas Music Educators Association Convention.
