We want to begin by congratulating the 14 Odem JH Band Students who successfully made the All-Region Bands on Saturday! Please see the region results section below to see the full list of names, but we would like to especially congratulate Shane Gehris on F Horn, and Constancio Bello on Euphonium for earning the 1^st Chair in their sections! This was Constancio’s second year of that achievement, too!

We’ve had a busy last couple of months and will have a small break before December gets us back into a slew of back-to-back events. This will start with the HS All-Region Auditions on December 6^th, Odem JH Winter Concert on December 9^th, Odem HS Winter Concert on December 11^th, and then the All-Region Clinic Concert for students in JH and HS who make the region bands on December 12^th/13^th! That week of events in particular will be packed!

Last week, we passed out the information for the Annual Program Sponsorship Fundraiser. The online form for donations is found here: https://tinyurl.com/25OdemBand Donations should be turned into the band halls no later than December 5^th to ensure we have all sponsors listed in the programs!  Please contact us if you need additional info, letters, or forms. Remember, we only accept checks or money orders in the band halls, made out to OEISD, with ‘Memo: Band’.

Beyond those events, we’re looking at a quiet week for the bands this week. There will be practice times available after school – please see the times below. HS Band students will be recording their placement exams this week, so we can have auditions completed for the split of the bands after their winter concert.
