Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 4/27/2026
It seems like not that long ago we were starting off our summer band weeks with the high school band, and already we’re nearing the close of the school year! Tomorrow will be our final concert for the HS Bands, and the Odem JH Symphonic Winds. That concert begins at 6:30 pm at the HS Cafetorium. Odem JH Symphonic Winds needs to be on stage by 6 pm, HS Symphonic Band members in the Band Hall by 6:10 pm, and the HS Wind Ensemble members by 6:25 pm. Our normal concert black is the required dress for the concert.
Next Monday, JH Beginning Band and Concert Band will have their Spring Concert on May 4th. Graduation will be on May 15th, and we do ask all JH Symphonic Winds members to please join the 9th-11th Grade students in performing for that event!
UIL State Solo and Ensemble, May 22nd – 23rd, will be our final event before we leave for our trip to Florida, with check-in on June 1st. Please note that we will have our final Trip Meeting, which all participating students and a parent/guardian MUST attend, on Monday, May 11th at 7 pm.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that Odem-Edroy ISD was named a NAMM Foundation ‘Best Communities for Music Education’ award recipient again this week for the 12th Consecutive Year! We appreciate the administrative support the programs receive in K-12 for our students’ music education!
2026 Florida Trip
All trips should be completely paid at this time. Please contact Bob Rogers for any questions on that. Please do remember we’ll have our final trip meeting on May 11th. All travelers and a parent/guardian must attend this meeting! Please bring insurance cards/information to the meeting. As we approach the date, just a reminder that any student age 18 and older must have a valid state ID that’s ‘Real ID’ compliant to fly.
We will go over final trip details, expected costs, luggage, etc. at that meeting. It’s imperative we have students and a parent there that night! If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know!
