Odem Bands Earn Spots in the All-Region Bands
Congratulations to the members of the Odem Bands for an outstanding showing at both the middle school and high school level today!!! Odem JH had 23 students make the bands today; the second most students make the bands overall for JH!!! Additionally we had 13 students make the JH Wind Ensemble, the most of any JH today! Additionally three students earned the first place chair in their sections! Nearly 1,100 students were entered into todays contest!
Odem High School had a day that ties our best showing historically by having 17 students make the All-Region Bands – this was the most of any 3A HS today, and 3rd Overall with the 4As included! We have 6 students advancing to Area!!! (2nd Most in 3A!) Noah Villarreal earned a first chair spot in the percussion section today! Those students will advance to the Area round on the first weekend of January. I will give those students more information on Monday.
Overall the students put in a very strong showing at both levels and continue the tradition of being one of the most successful schools in our region!
