Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 10/3/2022
We would like to begin this week by congratulating the members of The Spirit of OHS for their 1st Place Finish in their class at the USBands Goliad Showcase this weekend! They also earned the caption awards for Best Guard, Best Visual Effect, and Best Overall Effect! It was a great start for them!
Over the coming weeks we will be really dialing in our performance, making changes suggested by judges, and refining some changes we’ve already just made in the past week. It is imperative we have students at every rehearsal from here on out. This weekend in particular we will have a rehearsal with a guest clinician on Saturday from 3pm-6pm at the Stadium (Students Report at 2:30pm). This is a required event for HS Band members that does count as a test grade like our performances do. The next Monday (10th) we will also have a guest clinician in during our evening rehearsal we have to have everyone there for that as well!
We are also having a busy week this week with Homecoming here! Thursday evening will be the Parade/Burning of the ‘O’, and Friday will be the game after an early release.
As I said last week, we are officially in ‘Bandtober’ now, so students will stay very busy. Please help us make sure that students are at all rehearsals, games, and contests these next five weeks!

Note: There is one additional event scheduled now that is not on that calendar yet. The Spirit of OHS will be marching in the Odem Christmas Parade on December 17th. The parade is set to begin at 6pm. We need every student who is in town still to please be in attendance. More information will come about this event as we draw closer to it.
