We want to begin by congratulating the Odem Owls on an outstanding season of play. With the conclusion of their season on Friday, we have fully concluded our 2024 Marching Season as well. For HS students, we need to have all uniforms from the guard and band returned this week, as well as any other marching equipment that will be turned in. 

Our week is mostly quiet this week, but we have a Parent/Student meeting about our 2026 Trip to Orlando, Florida, which was approved this past Monday evening by the OEISD Board of Trustees. We will have information on our tentative itinerary, costs, payment plans, and how to sign up at this meeting. We will be using Bob Rogers Travel again for the trip. They have a great online payment system that worked well for our students for Cleveland. They also have an innovative crowd-raising platform to help with costs. Please make plans to attend if you have a current 8^th through 11^th Grade Band Student! 

Beyond that, we will have some open band hall practice time for students to prepare for Region/Band Placement Auditions on Thursday after school. HS students must record their band placement audition no later than Friday at the end of the school day. 

For all MS through HS students, personal instruments should go home on Friday for the break and return on Monday after the break. JH Region Auditions will occur on Tuesday when we return from break, and HS Region auditions are on Saturday. We will have all of our winter concerts the following week, so it’s imperative students practice over the break!

Concert Attire

All groups from 6^th-12^th have moved to the same concert attire requirements this year. Please see the information below:

Ladies: Black Blouse/Black Slacks/Dress Shoes (Blouses need to have some sort of sleeve that extends past the shoulder and should not be low cut)

Gentlemen: Black Long Sleeve Button-Down Shirt, Black Slacks, Black Dress Shoes (or HS Marching Band Shoes), Black Belt, and Black Socks.
