We would like to congratulate the members of the Odem JH and Odem HS Bands who performed in the All-Region Bands this week! We hope it was a great experience for them! Last week we also had a fantastic winter concert with our guest conductor, Dr. Gary Ciepluch joining us!

This week we’ll be hosting our final concert of 2023, with the Odem JH Bands Winter Concert on Tuesday at 6:30pm. Odem JH Beginning Band students need to be in their seats to warm-up in the Cafetorium by 5:45pm, Concert Band by 6pm, and Symphonic Winds in the patio area by 6:25pm in their concert dress clothes. Please see the concert dress section below for those requirements! Please help us make sure students are at their performance! Concerts are mandatory and graded!

The rest of the semester we will be looking at Solo and Ensemble and taking a look at possible spring and UIL music. We ask that all students please take their instruments home on the final day we see them the next week before break. We’ll go over that with students in their classes.

Concert Attire requirements are listed here. Please let us know if there is a concern or you need assistance locating concert apparel. 

Odem JH:

Ladies: Black Blouse/Black Slacks/Dress Shoes (Blouses need to have some sort of sleeve that extends past the shoulder, and should not be low cut)
Gentlemen: White Button Down Shirt, Black Slacks, Black Belt, Black Socks, Black Dress Shoes, and Tie (Preferably solid navy blue, but any tie will work)
