Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 2/24/2025 – Updated

We received our times for UIL Solo and Ensemble on Thursday – those times are linked here for both HS and JH members: http://www.odembands.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/2025-Odem-HS-Solo-and-Ensemble-Schedule-Final.pdf The participating JH and HS students will depart at 1 pm and return around 6 pm. Students may be signed out from the event, and we encourage family members to attend if possible! It is open to the public with no admission charge. However, adults will need to show their state-issued government ID to check into the school building. Please arrive early enough to allow yourself to have time for that process. They have said they will check in visitors at the front of the school and the back side where buses park.

Please note if you do attend, you may not record video or audio during students’ performances per UIL rules.

Students should bring money for snacks at the snack bar or snacks with them. Due to the performance times, we will return home and not have dinner as we originally stated in the first email. Students should dress nice for their performances. We encourage ensembles to coordinate what they are wearing. No jeans, shorts, or t-shirts should be worn for this event. Slacks/button down shirts, dresses, skirts, etc. are appropriate for this event. Please do keep the school dress code in mind for outfits.

Spring Band Fees are now due at both the High School for all band students and at the JH for 7th/8th grade band Students. This fee helps offset expenses in the spring for the program and is $25/student. Checks/Money Orders should be made payable to OEISD – no cash, please! These fees should be paid by Thursday, February 6th.

For all trip participants for 2026, please ensure you have registered on the Bob Rogers Travel site. Current 8th-11th 11th-grade band students are eligible to travel on this. If you missed the meeting, you may find a copy of the packet here: https://tinyurl.com/msrnkua6 . Registration is still open on their site: https://bobrogerstravel.grcoll.co/v2/go/odem26 Payment options and forms are handled through their website there. I encourage students to attend this trip; it will be an amazing experience for them, and it is only really possible for most of them as a group like this!
