Odem Bands Schedule: Week of 2/13/2017

I hope this message finds you well! I would like to begin this week’s e-mail by congratulating Noah Villarreal and Justin Ridgway on their fine representation of themselves and Odem this past week! Justin Ridgway placed 3rd in the State of Texas on his 2nd Appearance at State! Noah Villarreal was able to defend his State Title from last year by achieving 1st Chair in the State of Texas!!! Going back to Noah’s older brother Aaron that means Odem has held the top percussion spot 3 of the last 4 years! Congratulations to both of these gentlemen!!!! Their band had an outstanding performance!

This weeks major event will be the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest at Seale Jr. High in Robstown on Thursday. I will have more specific times available to the students by Tuesday, but our blocks of performance times are: 4:36-5:30pm Odem JH Brass/Woodwind Events, 5:30pm-8:10pm Odem HS Brass/Woodwind Events, 6:14pm-6:50pm Odem JH Percussion Events, and 6:50pm-7:38pm Odem HS Percussion Events. Based on that I believe we will leave Odem about 2:30-2:45pm to go to Robstown and return at approximately 8:50pm-9:00pm. It is possible that there may be a change later or earlier. Parents are welcome to attend their students performance!

This Week’s Band Hall Schedule:

Monday: Band Hall closes at 4pm, I will be around after tutorials if students want to come back and practice until ~6pm

Tuesday: Band Hall Open until 4:30pm for Practice

Wednesday: Band Hall Open until 4:30pm for Practice

Thursday: Band Hall Closed after school

UIL Region Solo and Ensemble at Seale Jr. High in Robstown

Friday: Band Hall Closes at 4pm
