Odem Bands Schedule Week of 2/15/2016

This week we have the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest that will be held on Thursday at Mathis MS. I still have not received an official schedule, but I believe we will begin the students performances at around 2pm. We will have middle school students pulled from their classes at the end of 5th period on Thursday. High School students will leave from their 6th Period Band Class.

I believe we should be finished with the majority of the events sometime around 4:30pm or so. We will run the JH students through the contest first. If your student is participating in the track meet you may check them out to return back to the school for it as soon as the student has finished performing. Otherwise we will have the buses return to Mathis to pick us up as soon as they run their afternoon bus routes. I anticipate our return between 5 and 5:30pm. I will send more specifics as soon as I receive a schedule from UIL.

Due to the the Thursday Solo and Ensemble Contest we will not have a Carnegie Hall rehearsal. We will resume those next week!

Please remember if your student is going to Carnegie Hall we need February payments and those that are waiting for Tax returns to get those payments in as soon as possible! We have our final payment for the Carnegie Hall performance portion that must be cut out on Thursday of this week. It is imperative we have some more payments come in for that payment! Thanks for your assistance with this!

Monday:  Band Hall Open for Practice until 4:30pm

Tuesday: Band Hall Open for Practice until 4:30pm

Wednesday: Band Hall Open for Practice until 5:00pm

Thursday: UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest at Mathis MS (Schedule to follow soon)

Saturday: Student/Parent Volunteers needed for OYBL Game Concession Stand
