Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 3/30/2026
Welcome to one of our last big week of UIL events for the year for the Odem Bands! On Wednesday, and Thursday this week, students in our 7th-12th Grade bands will be attending the UIL Region Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation at Tuloso Midway HS. Their times are:
Wednesday, April 1st:
Odem JH Concert Band: 9:25 am
Odem JH Symphonic Winds: 12:20 pm
Odem HS Symphonic Band: 7:05 pm
Thursday, April 2nd:
Odem HS Wind Ensemble: 10:30 am
For the members of the Odem JH Concert Band, we need them to be at the Odem JH Band Hall by 7:00 am on Wednesday. We will have breakfast tacos for them at that time. When the Odem JH Symphonic Winds finish, we will have pizza for them when we return to the band hall. Members of the Odem HS Symphonic Band must be at the band hall by 4:30 pm on Wednesday. We’ll have pizza for them for dinner that evening before we depart for TM. We anticipate OHS Symphonic Band members should return to the high school about 8:15 pm or so.
On Thursday, all Odem HS Wind Ensemble members will check into their first period class, and then report to the Band Hall. If any student has late arrival, they need to be in the Band Hall by 8 am as well.
For all students they should be wearing their Concert Black clothing. Black Button Down Shirt/Blouse, Black Slacks, Black Dress Shoes, Black Socks, etc. Please contact us if there are any questions or concerns!
Parents/community members are more than welcome to attend the performances and follow us to the sight-reading room! You should come prepared to check into the school with an ID early beforehand. Please note that you may not record video or audio inside the Sight-Reading Room!
We’re now just a couple of weeks away from Windi and Jazzi on the 18th. We encourage everyone to please purchase tickets in advance to help ensure we have prepared enough food with the caterer. Those tickets are available at https://odemhsband.ludus.com This year’s ‘Storybook Escapes’ event features music from classic animated movies from Disney and more!
After that we have our Spring Concerts for HS Bands and JH Symphonic Winds on April 27th, and JH Beginning Band and Concert Band on May 4th. Graduation will be on May 15th, and we do ask all JH Symphonic Winds members to please join the 9th-11th Grade students in performing for that event!
UIL State Solo and Ensemble, May 22nd – 23rd, will be our final event before we leave for our trip to Florida, with check-in on June 1st. Please note that we will have our final Trip Meeting, which all participating students and a parent/guardian MUST attend, on Monday, May 11th at 7 pm.
Statements of accounts showing the fees still owed have been provided to students and emailed via Presto. We will be turning in unpaid fines this week! If there’s a financial concern, please contact the relevant band director – Mr. Williams for JH students, Mr. Rash for HS students.
Windi and Jazzi ‘Storybook Escapes’
We are preparing for Windi and Jazzi on April 18th. Tickets are now on sale here: https://odemhsband.ludus.com/. The ticket covers entrance to the performance, Chicken Fried Chicken or Chopped Sirloin, Sides, Drink, and Dessert for $15-$25 depending on the seat in the Cafetorium. We encourage everyone to purchase tickets at least a week in advance to help us adequately plan the food order.
2026 Florida Trip
We ask that parents/students please check in on their trip accounts this week. This website link https://bobrogerstravel.grcoll.co/v2/go/odem26 should let you access the site. All students must have the full amount by April 15th, per the company. Please contact them for any questions on that. Please do remember we’ll have our final trip meeting on May 11th. All travelers and a parent/guardian must attend this meeting! We will have forms and other documents that need to be signed at this meeting!
