Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 4/5/2021
This week will be a busy one around OEISD with STAAR/EOC/Benchmark testing occurring in addition to normal spring activities like sports and Prom. That will lead us to the week after this one when we have our UIL Contest on April 14th in Odem, followed by Windi and Jazzi on Saturday, April 17th. Tickets for Windi and Jazzi are still available. I would estimate there around 40-60 depending on the group sizes that purchase them. Please consider joining us for that evening of great music and food!

Spring Band Fees
Every band student in Grades 7-12 is assessed Spring Band Fee of $25.00/student. This fee helps us pay for our spring expenses and helps us maintain supplies like reeds, valve oil, sticks/mallets, instruments, and music through the spring each year. This year in particular, since we have provided every student a band mask and a bell cover, we need the funds that this fee generates to help close out our year.
This fee should be paid by this Thursday. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We will work with families if there are financial considerations, but need to collect this fee by then if at all possible. Payment should be made out by check or money order to OEISD, Memo: Band

Windi and Jazzi
Windi and Jazzi will take place on April 17th, this will be our first event with an audience indoors. Tickets are to be purchased online through http://odemhsband.ludus.com/ or they may be purchased through the band directors. The online software will automatically let you select your seats and blocks out seats around you for social distancing purposes. Each ticket includes Dinner (Fried Chicken or Steak), Live Music, and Dessert. We will also hold a silent auction that will be held online simultaneously for anyone who cannot attend. If we sell out of one performance too early, we may add a second performance. I would advise purchasing your tickets early!

Tuesday: Band Hall Open until 4pm
Wednesday: Guard Practice 3:30pm-4:30pm
Thursday: Dr. Shelton from TAMUCC during HS Class Rehearsal
Band Hall Open until 4pm
Friday: Band Hall Closed after school
Saturday: OHS Prom
April 14th: UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation (Odem)
April 16th: After School Rehearsal for Windi and Jazzi 3:45pm-6pm
April 17th: Windi and Jazzi Fundraiser (Possible morning rehearsal)
May 17th: JH Symphonic Winds and HS Band Spring Concert
May 18th: JH Beginning Band and Concert Band Spring Concert
May 28th: Graduation
