Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 5/17/2021
This week we have our final performances of the 2020-2021 school year, and we are looking forward to finishing the year with a celebration of all the students have learned and accomplished this year! Monday night is the OJH Symphonic Winds and Odem HS Bands Concert. We will begin at 6:30pm with the OJH Symphonic Winds, and work our way to the grand finale with all of our students combined into our traditional large mass band. Please see the section below about Monday’s concert for details on arrival times. Students were given two tickets per student for guests to attend on Friday. If your student was absent Friday they can pick them up Monday.
Tuesday we will have the final concert of the year with the Odem JH Beginning Band at 6:30pm, and Odem JH Concert Band at 7pm. We will pass out those tickets to students on Tuesday morning. All of our concerts will be held in the Odem HS Cafetorium.
We will live stream both of these concerts on Facebook Live through the Owl Band Boosters Page as well. This is a required graded performance, and due to all students being involved in the final portion of the concert, all students must stay for the whole concert. Please note that even with school not being in session on Monday, that is a mandatory graded concert for all students involved in those groups!
For all of our concert’s masks must be worn indoors at all times. We ask that if you wish to take pictures without masks that you move outside to the front of the school to do so.

Students need wear their concert attire for this concert that begins at 6:30pm.
Odem JH:
Ladies: Black Blouse and Black Slacks with black shoes.
Gentlemen: White Button Down Shirt, Black Slacks, Black Dress Shoes, Black Socks, Black Belt, and a tie (Preferably navy blue)
Odem HS:
Black Blouse/Button Down Shirt, Black Slacks, and Black shoes.
Reporting Times:
6:00pm – Odem JH Symphonic Winds in Seats on Stage
6:15pm – Odem HS Applied Music in Band Hall
6:30pm – Odem HS Symphonic Band in Seats in Band Hall
6:50pm – Odem HS Wind Ensemble on Patio Ready to Warm-Up
Tuesday – Odem JH Beginning Band and Concert Band
Students need wear their concert attire for this concert that begins at 6:30pm.
Attire:

Marching Band Physicals
Every student in the marching band will need a new on this year, unless they had one this school year. (Most rolled over to this year as a one-time extension by UIL)

It would be very helpful if we could have these forms completed and turned into us or the athletic department by the final day of this school year.
Spring Band Fees
These fees of $25/student are past due at this point. We very much appreciate those of you who have already turned them in. If your student has not yet paid the fee we ask that you please get it turned in this week. Payment should be made out by check or money order to OEISD, Memo: Band
If there’s an issue with paying please contact us and we’ll find a way to work something out. Thank you for your assistance in getting these fees turned in!
