Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 6/24/2024
This message is to let everyone know we will be having our postponed Owl Band Booster Meeting on Monday at 7 pm in the Band Hall at the High School. Following the business of the meeting we will play our recording of the concert from Cleveland for anyone who wishes to see the students amazing performance!
We will be off for a few weeks for vacation, and return on July 15th for a clinic with Marching Health jointly with Flour Bluff HS. This event has evolved, and so while Leadership students are required to attend, we are also asking for all students in the band from Grades 10-12 to attend if they are available! Marching Health has created a unique form of physical preparation for marching band that we consider invaluable. Last year they also included a very useful set of sessions on movement skills that would benefit our program as well. I will send out a survey as we close in on the date to get a firm number of attendees for this. Leadership will continue the rest of the week in Odem through Friday in preparation. Guard/Percussion Camps will also take place on July 17th-19th. All members return on July 22nd this year for Summer Band.
