This week we start everyone back in full for The Spirit of OHS! We appreciate that we were able to get a start last week with the smaller groups in, and look forward to having everyone. Please see the schedule below, but it works out that we have a sectional with the students in the first half of the day, full band rehearsals in the afternoon on music, then everyone for outdoor fundamentals in the evening. There are breaks for dinner in between the last two. 

For all students, we need a current physical prior to any outdoor practices. For most students, the schedule is going into their Freshman and Junior years. If a student already has it for Athletics, we can verify that through RankOne, and it’s good – they don’t need a duplicate physical. We need those to be on file with our office or the Athletics office for all outdoor practices. Physicals are good for two years. The forms are available here: https://www.uiltexas.org/files/athletics/forms/PrePhysFormRvsd1_10_20.pdf. Also, EVERY student, EVERY year, must fill out the front page of the attached form. (They don’t need the doctor every year) Please make sure students bring whichever version of the form they need to us or the Athletics office on the first day! I will have printed versions available this week if someone needs to come by and pick one up.

Finally, our annual March-A-Thon will be on Thursday. I will have those forms available this week or you may print from here: https://tinyurl.com/26Marchathon Please see the section below for more information. We will step-off at 6 pm!

For attire for rehearsals, please make sure students wear comfortable shorts/shirts, and GOOD tennis shoes. NO SANDALS, FLIP FLOPS, CROCS, VANS, or CONVERSE shoes please! All shirts must have sleeves and fully cover students’ midriffs per the OEISD dress code. Please also encourage good hydration!

March-A-Thon (Thursday)

On Thursday we will have our March-A-Thon Fundraiser. For any house in the area of the route, we will stop and perform for a $50 donation. We can also make a stop at the park or in front of the school if the donor doesn’t live within the planned route! Donations of less than $50 are also appreciated, and we seek corporate sponsors who will be acknowledged with signs in the concession stand and at halftime for the right amount. Students will be given copies as we see them, but you may find a printable copy here: https://tinyurl.com/26Marchathon . This is always an important fundraiser to begin our season with! Please help us get the word out and solicit donations to help us support our 2026 season!
