Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 8/8/2022
Last week was a very productive week for The Spirit of OHS, and we’re looking forward to soon presenting meet the band on Wednesday, August 17th. We hope you will join us for that event! This week we will be continuing to work on setting drill and hope to have the first half of the show completed this week and be onto our third part!
Due to teacher in-service, all of the practices across the days with band, athletics, and cheer end up getting swapped around this week to the afternoons. We ask that students please make it from one practice to the next as quickly as they can through the coming weeks! Our evening practices will be 6:30pm-8:30pm this week Monday through Thursday. It’s imperative that students are at every rehearsal as we will be moving rapidly through learning drill these next two weeks!
Our fall fees for marching band need to have been paid at this time. For all Sophomores-Seniors who have marching shoes that fit the fee is $50. This includes the show shirt, shorts, water jug, and helps pay for other items like flip folders, lyres, etc. Freshmen, or any other member who needs shoes will need to pay an additional $40, for a total of $90 to cover marching shoes as well. This has had to increase from last year due to increased prices on items.
Guard members should have paid a total of $400 by the date they tried out. The final fee for them is $100 as long as they were paid in full. (Full 2023 fee is $500 between the two payments) They do not pay the regular band fall fee.
Payments need to be made in CHECK or MONEY ORDER only please to OEISD Memo: Band. We do not accept cash for these items.
Parent/Community 2022 Show Shirts
If you would like to order extra shirts for parents/family/friends of our 2022 ‘The Road Not Taken’ show. Please complete the form available here (http://www.odembands.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/2022-Marching-Band-Tshirt-Order-Form.pdf) and send a check/money order made out to ‘Owl Band Boosters.’ Please note this needs to be separate from band fees as these are going to be ordered through the boosters so that we can get the students shirts and shorts ordered sooner. We will accept orders through next Wednesday (17th) at the Meet the Band Performance. Shirts are moisture management material.
