Odem Bands Schedule – Week of 9/30/2024
We would like to thank all our volunteers, students, and community members for making the 2024 Owl Marching Invitational a success! We have had a lot of great feedback about the friendliness of our contest and the great experience their students had!
We do have a high school band rehearsal tomorrow, even though the students have the day off from school. It’s imperative we have everyone present, as we are now down to just four weeks of rehearsals before our Area Marching Contest! 6:30-8:30 pm as usual for rehearsal. We will show the judge’s comments and video from Saturday at 4 pm in the Cafetorium. Students are welcome to bring their dinner and come watch and listen to the feedback we received from our seven judges. We won’t have time in class this week to see those.
Later this week, we’ll compete at Flour Bluff HS on Saturday. Students need to be on the Game Field at 5:45 a.m. for this contest! We’ll then get everyone in bibbers and take off to Flour Bluff HS to unload. Our performance is at 10 a.m., and we will leave to return home following awards at about 12:30 p.m. Students should bring money to go to the concessions for snacks/lunch. We should be back at the school about 1:30 p.m.
Finally, we still have some extra show shirts for sale if you are interested. We have a selection of most sizes available for $30 for S-XL, $32 for XXL, and $34 for XXXL. Please get in touch with me if you want to verify that we have one in the size you are seeking. Checks or Money Orders are only accepted to OEISD.
