Odem HS Band is STATE BOUND!
Congratulations to The Spirit of OHS for advancing to the UIL State Marching Band Contest for only the second time in school history! During prelims they competed against 25 other bands, coming up in 5th Place for the Preliminary Round. Our students left everything on the field during finals, competing against the 9 other finalists to earn a 4th Place berth to State!
We are incredibly proud of our students accomplishment, and fully intend on doing several special things for them this week. Please be patient as we navigate this momentous event – it’s a very hectic week, but an amazing experience for our students!
We will perform at the AlamoDome in San Antonio at 4:15pm. I am going to hold off on specific plans going out to everyone for the day of State with our students until I have had a chance to put all of the pieces in place. I should know more by tomorrow in the afternoon I hope! Thank you for your patience there.
We are going to order a commemorative T-Shirt for every member of the band that will have a variation on the show shirt on the front. The back side of the shirt will have the students names. I need all students to check their names at this link before tomorrow at 9am.
Additional shirts may be ordered by family and community members. Please complete this form and send checks or money orders made out to Owl Band Boosters by tomorrow before school to ensure that we have enough ordered. Students will have one ordered for them. Students shirts will be discounted to $5 for their shirts paid by the same method of Check or Money Order. I still have students shirt sizes still from the fall order, and will be ordering one for each student.

Tuesday: Band Hall Open until 4:30pm
Wednesday: 5pm-6:30pm Evening Marching Rehearsal
Thursday: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Friday: Odem vs. Hebbronville
4:00pm Students at Band Hall
4:30pm Depart Band Hall for Hebbronville
7:30pm Game Begins
~12:30am Return to Odem
Saturday: 3pm-5pm Marching Rehearsal
