This week we begin a week-long final focus on the region UIL Solo and Ensemble contest for the students involved. Tuesday evening, at 5:30pm we will have our Solo and Ensemble Recital at the Odem HS Cafetorium. We will be allowing two tickets per student for audience members who may wish to attend. This year the auditions were held virtually with recordings submitted by the students and judged by directors remotely. We would like to begin this week by congratulating The Spirit of OHS on their outstanding performance yesterday at the UIL Area E Marching Band Championships! For the 5th Consecutive time they have been named an Area Finalist Band! Ultimately, they finished 7th in the contest, but in a normal year would have had a finals round to compete one last time.
