Last week we had a large number of Odem students who participated in the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest in Robstown. There we saw a fantastic set of results for our students, including 7 Odem JH Soloist Medalists, 6 Odem JH Ensemble Medalists, 1 Odem HS Bronze Solo Medalist, 6 Odem HS Gold Soloist Medalists, and 15 Odem HS

This week will be a moderately busy one for us with the bands. First off, we will have our monthly Owl Band Booster Meeting Tuesday night at 7pm in the OHS Cafetorium. We need several new officers for this coming year, and I encourage any/all parents of Odem Band Students from Grade 6-11 to please consider coming and getting involved!

This week, we will hold our annual Solo and Ensemble Recital on February 16th at 6:00pm. That is mandatory for HS Applied Music students/HS Ensemble members. This week is a final last light week for us with the Odem Bands with no events scheduled. Please note that Spring Band Fees of $25 for Grades 7-12 students should be paid by February 1st, as well as any outstanding fall band fees. The Spring Band Fee goes towards helping pay for Spring Expenses, Clinicians, etc. that come up
