This next week-and-a-half are going to be very busy for us with the Odem Bands as we enter into the final time before our UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest. Tomorrow night, Monday, we will have our Pre-UIL Contest Concert in the HS Cafetorium at 6:30pm. OJH Symphonic Winds Members should be at the Cafetorium on stage at 5:45pm. OHS Wind

Last week our students had some great successes at the UIL region Solo and Ensemble Contest in Robstown! All told Odem JH returned with 9 Superior Medals with a 3 soloists and a Percussion Trio. Odem HS achieved a very impressive 28 Superior Medals, and 18 of our students have advanced to the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest! We

This week will be a busy one for us for the Odem Bands. First I would like to remind everyone that we have a fundraiser currently running for both the Odem JH Bands and the Odem HS Bands. The Odem JH Bands are selling their Mixed Bags Catalog sales and the Odem HS students are selling bedding from ‘Simply Sheets.’

It always amazes me how quickly the first semester flies by! This week we will have our annual Odem Bands Winter concert on Thursday. We look forward to this also being our very first concert on our new stage! As with any first time of having an event we will have a few new procedures to make the concert successful.
