We’d like to begin this week by congratulating the Odem JH Symphonic Winds on an outstanding performance Friday at their festival! They earned Superior Ratings from each of the three judges with their performance!  This week brings us to the final end of the year wind down of events for the bands. Last weekend was a big jazz weekend for us, and it was great to be back performing with The Screeching Owl Jazz Band at the South Coast Jazz Festival! First of all I would like to thank parents for helping us get students to school and ready for UIL this past week. Despite some odd departure times, we had every student who should have been with us at UIL!  Our bands had great performances, and it was great to again be able to take them to perform at UIL

This week is going to be one of our busiest of the year as four of our bands participate in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation in Sinton Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We ask that you please help us make certain students come with their concert clothes and arrive on time if there is an early arrival. Odem JH Concert

This week we’ll be focusing on our final rehearsals leading into UIL on the 19th-21st. Please note that we go to contest with the Odem JH Bands the very day we come back from the four-day weekend this week! Odem JH Concert Band students must be at the JH Band Hall dressed in their concert clothes by 7am that morning!

This week starts off right from the start with our Pre-UIL Concert. All 7-12th Grade students have their mandatory Pre-UIL Concert Performance tomorrow, March 28th. In order to help facilitate JH Baseball games we are going to start at 5pm for Odem JH Concert Band, followed by about 5:15-5:20pm Odem JH Symphonic Winds will begin. Students may leave following the concert.
